A 2 bedroom top floor flat in Limehouse, Canary Wharf which had not been refurbished in over 20 years. The property was a rundown rental investment from tenant usage. The investor purchased the property in June 2013 for £310,000. Our brief was to bring the property up to a new homes show flat standard that could achieve a sales price close to new build properties in the area. There were several things working against the value of the property, including being situated on the 4th floor of a block with no lift. To make sure the owner could achieve his sales price and sell his property fast, we designed and furnished a property that felt bigger, brighter and attractive enough that it could rival most new builds in the area. The refurbishment that took 4 weeks and was on the market for less than a month. The property received 2 offers at asking price and achieved a sales price of £520,000 within a month of being on the market.
